The Origin of Fun
It’s summer in Wisconsin and for visitors that means the chance to kick back, relax and to simply be themselves. Whether it’s food, fun or getting outdoors there really is something for everyone. This summer, be yourself and rediscover what it means to “have fun.”
Wisconsin’s Great Outdoors
The hardest part about summer in Wisconsin is deciding which activities to participate in or which attraction to see next. But if you enjoy the great outdoors – Wisconsin offers more than 4,600 campsites, over 7,000 rivers and streams, and more than 15,000 lakes. Whether you are interested in camping, fishing, hiking or water sports Wisconsin invites you to get away.
Summer Festivals
For many, a trip wouldn’t be complete without spending time at one of the state’s unique lakefront festivals. Milwaukee kicks things off with Polish Fest, followed by German Fest, Irish Fest, Mexican Fiesta, Festa Italiana and African World Fest. But the granddaddy of them all is Summerfest, the world’s largest music festival. This 11-day event rocks 13 stages and offers up the best food from around the state.
